INITIAL EVALUATION
Initial Evaluation in Casa Grande, AZ
Before enrolling in a Big House K9 Training program, every new client begins with a comprehensive Initial Training Evaluation.
This 90-minute appointment gives us the opportunity to get to know you, your dog, your household, and what you are hoping to accomplish through training. Rather than placing every dog into the same program, we take the time to understand the individual dog in front of us and determine what type and amount of training will actually be most beneficial.
Initial Training Evaluation
$175 | 90 Minutes | At the BHK9 Facility or In Your Home
Your evaluation is more than a meet-and-greet. We will discuss your dog's history, daily routine, current skills, behavior concerns, and your goals for training. We will also observe and work with your dog so we can begin identifying strengths, challenges, and training priorities.
During your evaluation we will:
-
Discuss your dog's history, routine, and home environment
-
Talk through your concerns and training goals
-
Observe your dog's behavior, temperament, and current skill level
-
Evaluate how your dog responds to handling, communication, and training
-
Identify immediate management or training changes that may help
-
Answer your questions about training and behavior
-
Determine which Big House K9 Training program or services best fit your needs
-
Recommend the appropriate amount of training based on your individual dog and goals
There is no one-size-fits-all pathway. Your training plan is built around your dog and your family.

Brandon and Daneesha were informative, patient, and amazing with me and my unruly puppy. I couldn’t believe how quickly they were able to get my puppy under control. They took the time to work with me one-on-one and shared helpful techniques and tools to manage my high-energy puppy at home. I would highly recommend them to anyone struggling with a high-energy or stubborn dog. They are professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly passionate about what they do.

Single Dog Evaluation - $175
At Big House K9 Training, we offer in-depth temperament evaluations for breeders, rescues, shelters, and prospective dog owners. We go beyond labeling a dog's personality - we provide prescriptive, actionable guidance on what each puppy or dog will need to thrive in their new home. Our approach assesses 33 key temperament traits. Over 350 dogs evaluated.
A comprehensive 90-minute evaluation of your dog's temperament, behavior, and training needs. Includes a written assessment and personalized training recommendations.
Puppy & Litter Evaluations
Whether you're a breeder wanting insight on your litter or a family searching for the perfect puppy, we provide thorough evaluations to guide placement decisions. Testing is done in a neutral area of the breeder’s home, using sanitized equipment for safety. We go over results in detail and provide written documentation for each puppy.
Why Early Evaluations Matter:
The first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are critical for shaping temperament. While genetics play a role, early socialization, environment, and training have a profound impact on how a puppy develops into adulthood.
Adult Dog & Rescue Evaluations
Bringing a new dog into your home? Considering adoption? We provide on-site temperament and behavior assessments—whether in your home, a shelter, or the dog’s current placement. Our evaluations help you understand the dog’s strengths, areas for improvement, and compatibility with your household.
Breeder and Rescue Litter Packages
Evaluating multiple puppies or dogs in a single visit reduces setup and travel time per dog, so litters and shelter batches are priced on a sliding per-dog scale. A minimum of two dogs is required to access litter pricing.
Package Pricing:
2 Dogs $160 per dog
3 Dogs $150 per dog
4-6 Dogs $135 per dog
7+ Dogs $120 per dog
Who this program is for:
Our evaluations are for breeders, rescues, and prospective dog owners who want expert insight into a puppy or dog's temperament before placement. Whether you're a breeder looking to match puppies with ideal homes, a rescue assessing adoptability, or a family seeking the right fit, our evaluations provide valuable guidance for informed decisions.
